With the arrival of June come Lupins, one of the great joys during June. Their floral spikes come into their own during the first climax of garden colour.
Hanging baskets, window boxes and troughs should now be filled with summer bedding. Alternatively come and take your pick from our wide range of summer flowering containers and hanging baskets. Here at The Gardening Club we have Ivy, Geranium, Petunia and Fuchsia 10” baskets at £8.99 each.
Do ensure that your plants are being well fed, feed with Fish Blood and Bonemeal. Rhododendron, Azalea and Camellia will benefit from an application of ericaceous fertiliser, as this will encourage the development of next year’s flowering buds during summer. When grown in pots, stay on top of watering and do not let these plants dry out as dry conditions will lead to flower buds that do not open the following spring.
